Thank You For Helping at the Earth Day, Every Day Clean-Up Event at the Old Elementary School - 68 Bags of Trash Collected

We would like to thank everybody who showed up at the Earth Day, Every Day Event on Sunday.

 

Because of all your help we were able to bag up about 68 bags of garbage, which meas that we've managed to get over 200 bags of garbage off the street this year alone.

West Augustine Nature Heroes - Interview with Ulysses and Sarah Williams

    

To learn more about the New Augustine Colored Elementary School #36, the school around which, we will be cleaning up for our Earth Day, Every Day event, my sister and I had the honor of interviewing two true West Augustine Nature Heroes, Ulysses and Sarah Williams, a local couple, who have been married for over 63 years, and who both went to to the school, which they call #6.

Earth Day Recycling Event In St. Augustine On April 23rd - Get Rid of Your Old Electronics

 

On Friday, April 23, the city of St. Augustine is going to be hosting a free recycle event at the Solid Waste Facility located at 601 Riberia Street, St Augustine, Florida

 From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Effects of Plastic Pollution on the Ocean and Oceanic Life

    Pollution has reached every part of the ocean from the Arctic Circle to the Mariana Trench. It has caused many marine organisms to die as old fishing nets and plastic bags strangle animals like turtles and sharks. Microplastics can even end up in the stomach of organisms as the plastics pass from the bottom of the food chain to the top, and this means that even animals like birds can have microplastics in there bodies.
